Lal Bahadur Shastri Government PG College Saraswati Nagar is situated about 100 km away. from the capital city of Shimla is near the famous Hateshwari temple in Jubbal tehsil of the district Shimla. It is located in a valley formed by the river Pabbar and is surrounded by the scenic beauty of small hills and apple orchards orchards.

The College was established in The year 1986 offers courses in the Faculty of Arts (12 departments), the Faculty of Science (both Medical and Non-Medical streams) and the Faculty of Commerce. The College has a new six storeyed building containing classrooms, well-equipped and spacious science laboratories, a hall, girls' common room, besides a well-stocked library, which subscribes to several newspapers and periodicals. A new hostel for girls has been constructed on the campus and will be made available Functional during the current session.
